High school students visit campus for Kansas Scholastic Press Association convention today
Visiting campus today are 300 high school students and teachers from around Kansas. They're here to learn about journalism and communications at the collegiate and professional levels.
The Kansas Scholastic Press Association sponsors the annual convention, which is hosted and organized by Collegian Media Group, the publisher of The Collegian and Royal Purple. The event brings successful journalists, ad executives and public relations managers to the K-State Student Union where they join faculty members in sharing insight and tips with students.
Many of the students will return in February for the Kansas Scholastic Press Association's high school journalism contest, which is also hosted by Collegian Media Group.
