University refreshes careers website

Submitted by Human Capital Services

In 2015, Human Capital Services launched its branded employment website. When the university automated its hiring process and shared all vacant positions in a central location, traffic to the website doubled in the first month. Today, the webpage averages approximately 325 visits per day, making it one the of the most visited sections on the university website.

To continue K-State's efforts to share information with prospective applicants, the website has been refreshed and rebranded from K-State Jobs to K-State Careers. Applicants can access the university careers website to learn more about career opportunities at the university, hear from faculty and staff about why they should become a part of the university and information on benefits.

"This is an opportunity to share branded information with potential applicants interested in pursuing a career at K-State," said Roberta Maldonado Franzen, director of talent acquisition. "The transition to careers supports our initiative to attract and retain a highly talented, diverse workforce."

The Twitter and Facebook accounts have been refreshed to @KStateCareers. HCS continues to see an increase of followers on social media and is looking for creative ways to engage the audience. To further broaden outreach to prospective applicants, faculty and staff can share career opportunities using the #KStateCareers.
