Kelli Farris hired as executive director for Center for Student Involvement

By Laurel Moody

Following an internal search, Kelli Farris has been named the executive director for the Center for Student Involvement, effective Dec. 18.

Farris has served as the student services coordinator for the hospitality management department in the College of Human Ecology since June 2016. Farris has experience working with student organizations at both University of North Carolina, Charlotte and Missouri State University, serving as assistant and associate directors for their respective offices of student involvement. She received her master's degree in student affairs and higher education from Indiana State University in 2010.

"I am very excited to join the team in the Center for Student Involvement," Farris said. "I look forward to learning more about how the center can better serve the campus, student leaders and all student organizations."

The Division of Student life is excited to have her join the team as executive director after the merger of the Office of Student Activities and Services and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life in summer 2016.
