Research Administrators Council will meet April 11

Submitted by Sarah Hancock

The K-State Research Administrators Council will meet from 10:30 to noon Tuesday, April 11, in 123 Leadership Studies Building. A full agenda awaits attendees; topics will include the following.

  • Chris Brandt and Tresa Landis from the Kansas State University Research Foundation, or KSURF, will explain why postaward research administrators fill out a Report of Inventions and Subcontracts, search for potential patent information, and hear faculty members talking about iEdison. They also will share information about KSURF's mission, the university's technology transfer process, and the services KSURF offers.
  • A study group is forming for those taking the certified research administrator, or CRA, certification exam in the fall. We will hear a brief presentation about CRA certification.
  • Ian Czarnezki from the Office of the Vice President for Research, will discuss the new compliance training log tool that will soon be available to campus.

The Research Administrators Council was established in October 2016. Meetings are listed on the Office of the Vice President for Research events calendar. Follow @KState_RSCAD on Twitter and check the RSCAD Momentum newsletter for updates.

Please direct questions about the April 11 meeting to Roger McBride, assistant director of Sponsored Programs Accounting, at roger57@k-state.edu.
