K-State Research and Extension faculty honored at national conference

K-State's Alpha Rho Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Phi was represented by six K-State Research and Extension faculty at the recent national conference in Cape May, New Jersey.

Two individuals were honored at the recognition event. Gregg Hadley, assistant director of agriculture, natural resources and community development, was the recipient of the North Central Region Administrative Leadership Award. Trudy Rice, state leader for community development, was presented the North Central Region Distinguished Service Award.

Installed as the North Central Region vice president was Doug Jardine, professor and extension specialist in the plant pathology department.

Others in attendance were Diane Burnett, Jennifer Wilson, Elizabeth Brunscheen-Cartagena and Nadine Sigle.

Epsilon Sigma Phi is a professional organization dedicated to fostering excellence in the extension system and to developing the extension profession and professional.

K-State's Alpha Rho chapter will host the National Epsilon Sigma Phi Conference in October 2018.
