By Karen Large

"Engaging in Research" will be the theme of the New Faculty Institute luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the Flint Hills Room of the K-State Student Union.

This luncheon will feature speakers Peter Dorhout, vice president for research; Paul Lowe, associate vice president for research and director of PreAward Services; Chris Brandt, president and CEO of the Research Foundation; and Mary Rezac, associate vice president for research.

Please RSVP by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2.

The New Faculty Institute is a universitywide program to introduce newly hired faculty to K-State's missions of teaching, research and service, and to facilitate their success at K-State. The New Faculty Institute will offer information and networking. The institute facilitates the transition of newly-hired faculty members into the K-State academic environment by providing information and tools that can help them become successful as educators and researchers at the university. Each month, the institute offers social luncheons filled with information, socializing and food.

For more information, contact Karen Large, New Faculty Institute coordinator, at kmlarge@ks-state.edu or Jana Fallin, Teaching and Learning Center director, at teachingandlearning@k-state.edu.

We look forward to seeing you!
