Academic Advising at Orientation & Enrollment (O&E)
Welcome new Wildcats! At K-State, we support your program and life planning through academic advising. At O&E, you will meet with an advisor to plan for fall semester schedule. After O&E, you will have a dedicated academic advisor listed in the student information system (KSIS) who can help you navigate the university. They can teach you about academic policies, campus resources, and your curriculum. You should get to know your advisor and meet frequently. Academic advisors are a critical part of your student success team.
Prior to your O&E academic advising meeting, please watch these videos:

Your task during your O&E academic advising meeting is to get a full course schedule for fall semester. Be sure to ask questions and be prepared to answer questions about your academic interests, strengths, and challenges. To learn more about what advising will look like once you are a continuing student, please review these student and advisor expectations.
