Test-optional scholarships for incoming freshmen
Upon admission to the university as an incoming freshman, your application will be automatically reviewed for general university scholarships/awards that are awarded based on your GPA and ACT/SAT score achievements. However, since K-State now offers a path toward admission that does not require consideration of ACT or SAT scores, the university also offers an opportunity for test-optional scholarship consideration.
Test-optional scholarship application priority date
The priority date for test-optional scholarships is Jan. 4, 2021.
The application is now closed.
Be considered for test-optional scholarships
- If you haven't already, first make sure you complete the application for admission. Plan to apply by the Jan. 4 priority date.
- Please note that you need to be admitted to the university before you can access the next step detailed below. Make sure to apply early to ensure you have plenty of time to complete the required supplemental application!
- Next, also complete the supplemental test-optional scholarship application by the Jan. 4 priority date for full consideration. Applications received after the Jan. 4 priority date will only be considered as funding is available.
- Your application will undergo a holistic review by our scholarship committee after the priority date.
- We encourage you to still submit test scores if you are able, as that ensures the earliest notification of an award.
- You may earn only one general university scholarship/award, which includes either a test-considered award or a test-optional scholarship. You will be considered for the highest award possible across both categories.
