Trever Murawski initially gained archeological education/training in the KSU classrooms before conducting his first fieldwork at sites in northeastern Kansas under the direction of Drs. Ritterbush, Logan, and Roper. After graduating from Kansas State University in 2004 he briefly worked as a field technician in Denver before enrolling in a graduate program in archaeology at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia (2005-2007). There he gained new experiences while studying and working throughout eastern Australia and earned his M.A. in 2008. His thesis, which was based on fieldwork at Lake Mulurulu and Lake Mungo, focused on mid to late Holocene lithic reduction techniques in relation to mobility in the Willandra Lakes Region. After returning to the United States in 2008 he worked as a field archaeologist for CRM firms located in Kansas and Nevada (2007-2010) and in 2010 was fortunate enough to be invited back to Australia to work in the Pilbara region in the northwestern corner of the country. Since coming back to the United States in 2013 Trever has returned to Kansas and is currently employed by Kansas State University as an archeological research associate based out of the Ft. Riley Military Installation. He remains interested in the archaeology of Australia, the Pacific Islands, and American Great Plains.
