Academic Advising

Academic Advising

Navigating the ins and outs of undergraduate curriculum and degree requirements is not always straightforward. Fortunately, the department has two excellent academic advisors to help our majors stay on track. While students have a responsibility to become intimately familiar with their degree plans and program requirements, they must also meet with their advisors at least once a semester to ensure that they are progressing toward degree completion. The advisors are also available to discuss major choice, career ambitions, and available campus resources.

Making an Advising Appointment

Students can make an appointment with their advisor using one of the following three methods:

  • Use the SSC-Navigate system. Log in with your eID and password, click "Schedule Appointment", and follow the pull down prompts for Political Science advising.
  • E-mail your advisor directly (see "Meet the Advisors" below).
  • Contact the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work (785-532-6865 or socansw@ksu.edu)
