World-Class Facilities

Kansas State University ensures its researchers and partners have the tools they need to solve global challenges. The university is home to more than 90 research centers, including the 3,487-hectare Konza Prairie Biological Station and the Biosecurity Research Institute, which focuses on infectious diseases, as well as plant and food-borne pathogens. Core facilities

Beocat is the High-Performance Computing cluster at Kansas State University. It is run by the Institute for Computational Research in Engineering and Science, which is a function of the Computer Science department.

The Biosecurity Research Institute is a unique biocontainment research and education facility that has helped K-State become a national leader in biodefense research.

The Core provides expertise, training and access to equipment for confocal microscopy and microfluorometry.
Provides researchers with access to advanced electronics, assists with integrating electronics technology into research programs, and aids in electronics technology transfer to users by providing ongoing technical support.
Multi-user core laboratory is equipped with state of the art flow cytometry analyzers by Becton Dickinson.

Spatiotemporal analytics and custom geoprocessing tool programming for biophysical and social/cultural data, cartographic and 2D-4D visualization support, GIS service development, and Web-based interactive map design and deployment.
