Minor in Neuroscience
Students now also have the opportunity to pursue a Minor in Neuroscience. A Neuroscience minor offers students a variety of unique areas of study to enhance their existing major.
Requirements
The minor consists of 18-20 hours and includes:
- PSYCH 110-General Psychology
- BIOL 101-Concepts of Biology OR BIOL 198-Principles of Biology
- PSYCH 370-Introduction to Behavioral Neuroscience OR PSYCH 470-Principles of Neurosceince
- PSYCH Electives: mimimum of 6 credits
- Additional Electives as needed to meet the18-20 credit requirement
- No more than 3 credit hours of PSYCH 598-Research in Neuroscience may be used toward the minor.
Note for Psychology Majors: Only required classes (10 credits) for the Neuroscience Minor will count toward the Psychology Major.
Psychology Majors cannot count the Neuroscience Minor electives toward major requirements.
