Congratulations to the 2023-2024 Political Science Scholarship/Assistantship Winners

For the 2023-2024 academic year, the political science department awarded more than $30,000 in scholarship funds to its undergraduate and graduate students. The department also awarded stipends for graduate assistantships to nine students across two graduate programs.

The Political Science Department's 2023-2024 scholarship recipients are:

    • was awarded the "Reba L. Cobb Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Women in Political Science"
  • Jacob Hofman, junior in political science and economics
    • was awarded the "Louis H. Douglas Scholarship"
  • Kate Thomas, junior in political science and history
    • was awarded the "Donald R. Hill Scholarship"
  • Elizabeth Chapman, junior in political science and international studies
    • was awarded the "Orma Linford Scholarship"
  • Macy Steinlage, senior in political science and modern languages
    • was awarded the "Edward Allen McCoy Jr. Memorial Scholarship"
  • Duru Dogan, senior in political science and statistics & data sciences
    • was awarded the "Edward Allen McCoy Jr. Memorial Scholarship"
  • Joseph Pondillo, junior in political science
    • was awarded the "Barbara Meyer Scholarship in Political Science"
  • Michael H. Thompson, junior in political science and history
    • was awarded the "Richter Family “Beyond the Campus” Scholarship"
  • Robert Bruckner, sophomore in political science
    • was awarded the "Dennis K. Tapsak Memorial Scholarship"
  • Karissa Smith, junior in political science
    • was awarded the "Jon David Wagner Scholarship"
