Dr. John Warner
John Warner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Kansas State University. He received his Ph.D from the University of California-Davis in 2011.

He is a political theorist with primary research interests in the self-deceptive process and how politics structure experiences of intimacy. Most of his research centers on the 17th and 18th centuries, most especially on the work of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and he is currently writing a book on early modern theories of self-deception.

He teaches a number of courses here, including American Political Thought, Philosophy of Law, Contemporary Ideologies, Social Contract Theory, Religion and Politics. He also serves as the Associate Director of the Primary Text Program (for more information, click here).
