Monica Macfarlane

Monica Macfarlane is the Office Manager for the Department of Political Science at Kansas State University. She earned her M.A. in Public Administration, B.A. in Political Science, and Primary Texts Certificate from Kansas State University, and is currently completing a Ph.D. in K-State's interdisciplinary Leadership Communication program.

Prior to joining the Political Science department, Monica served as an Assistant Graduate Program Coordinator and Administrative Assistant for the Grain Science & Industry department. She also served on the University Support Staff Senate for 3 years as USS Senate Vice President (AY 2021-2022) and President (AY 2022-2023). Monica has served on several university committeess and is passionate about public service and community engagement. Her research focuses on social justice reform and Action Learning through a Leadership Education lens.
