Monica Macfarlane

Monica Macfarlane serves as the Office Manager for the Department of Political Science at Kansas State University. She holds a Master's of Public Administration, a B.A. in Political Science, and a Primary Texts Certificate, all from Kansas State University.
Macfarlane's dedication to public service and community engagement is evident through her roles at both the university and community levels. At the university, she's currently a member of the University Out-of-State Fee Appeals Committee. Her past service includes a three-year tenure on the University Support Staff Senate, where she held leadership positions as Vice President (AY 2021-2022) and President (AY 2022-2023). She also played a significant role in the initiative to provide free period products in all women's, family and gender-neutral restrooms across all three K-State campuses. Beyond the university, Macfarlane has served on various non-profit boards in the Manhattan community.
Before joining the Political Science department, Macfarlane was an Assistant Graduate Program Coordinator and Administrative Assistant for the Grain Science & Industry department.
