Lesson content

The content of each lesson provides sequential development of necessary skills and understanding

A sequential development of skills and/or understandings is not evident in the lesson content

The content of the lesson is not appropriately selected for student development

Student feedback

The feedback indicated as provided to the student is sufficient and specific enough to guide student practice

The feedback is general offering limited guidance for student achievement

The feedback is not appropriate or does not guide students toward enhancements

Self-assessment of teaching

Teacher provides evidence to support conclusions of teaching quality pertaining to student achievement.

Teacher provides some evidence but offers superficial reasons to support conclusions of teaching quality as it influences student achievement.

Teacher provides no evidence or reasons to support conclusions of teaching quality as it influences student achievement.

Goals to improve teaching

Teacher provides ideas for redesigning learning goals, instruction, or assessment and explains why these changes would improve student learning.

Teacher provides ideas for redesigning learning goals, instruction, or assessment but offers no rationale for why these changes would improve student learning.

Teacher provides no ideas for redesigning learning goals, instruction, or assessment.
