Spring 2022 Arabic Courses

ARAB101- Arabic I Section A 16625, MW 5:30-8:50, Section ZA 16787 MW 5:30-8:50 (Distance), with Thuria Mossa. ARAB101 is a beginners course that will help you learn the basics of Arabic. Through writing, speaking, and listening, you will begin your Arabic journey.     ARAB102- Arabic II. Section A, 16624 MW 5:30-8:50, Section ZA 14919, MW 5:30-8:50 (Distance) with Thuria Mossa. This intermediate Arabic language level focuses on developing skills in text reading, understanding written and spoken Modern Standard Arabic and in writing and speaking grammatically structured, complex sentences. Emphasis will be on memorizing current usage vocabulary and on understanding details of principal grammatical rules to use in formal conversations. The course enables students to become more familiar with the Middle Eastern Culture and be able to communicate freely with confidence.

 

ARAB301- Arabic IV Section A, 16752 TU 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., Section ZA 14930 TU 5:30-7:30 p.m. with Thuria Mossa. This intermediate language level, focuses on developing skills in the text reading, understanding written and spoken Modern Standard Arabic. The students will be able to write and speak more grammatically structured more complex sentences. Emphasis will be on memorizing current usage vocabulary and understanding details of principle grammatical rules to use in formal communication. The students explore a variety of contemporary topics that relate to the modern word. The course incorporates the use of the textbook and online materials.
