Smith returned to K-State after a short hiatus, changing her major to journalism and getting involved with television opportunities on campus, including and Channel 8 News. She completed her degree while raising her young daughter. After graduating from college in 2019, Bri pursued a career as a news reporter at KAKE-TV in Wichita.
