What services does SDUR provide?
Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research houses the Developing Scholars Program, the McNair Scholars Program, and the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships. Along with these formal programs, SDUR provides grants for research and travel opportunities, hosts undergraduate research symposia in fall and spring, and holds informative seminars for all interested students. Some of our programs are eligibility-specific, and some are open to any undergraduate student. For specific information, please visit the page for the program which may interest you.
What is undergraduate research?
Undergraduate Research, in its most formal sense, is defined as scholarly, collaborative, authentic, original work or an assessment from a new point of view conducted by a student or group of students within a mentored environment for publicly disseminating the information through a university seminar, poster/oral conference presentation, performance, exhibition and/or publication.
What majors/areas of study does SDUR serve?
All undergraduate students from any discipline or area of study are welcome to participate in activities sponsored by SDUR.
