Year 0

• Create your research ideas
• Look at possible faculty mentor
• Collect necessary application materials
• Apply to the program by March deadline
• Enroll in first-year research seminar

Year 1 - Fall

• Complete the first semester of Research Seminar
• Attend two mentoring sessions with SDUR staff
• Participate in 6-10 hours of project-related research per week
• Engage in community-oriented programming provided by SDUR

Year 1 - Spring

• Complete the second and final semester of Research Seminar
• Attend two mentoring sessions with SDUR staff
• Participate in 6-10 hours of project-related research per week
• Develop poster presentation for Spring Symposium
• Present at the Spring Research Symposium

Year 2 and 3 - Fall

• Attend two mentoring sessions with SDUR staff
• Participate in 6-10 hours of project-related research per week
• Engage in community-oriented programming provided by SDUR
