As an undergraduate student at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU), I served as president of the Student Garden Club, where we provided educational opportunities for students and faculty in vegetable production. Additionally, we organized community outreach events that distributed produce to residents of Prairie View, Texas, and coordinated nutrition workshops and cooking demonstrations.
Since joining Kansas State University in 2023, I have had the privilege of directing and evaluating numerous agricultural youth programs affiliated with KSU's JR MANRRS chapters. Furthermore, I served as program manager for the inaugural collaboration between KSU's Horticulture Department and Montclair State University's PSEG Green Teams program, gaining valuable experience in leading workshops, delivering lectures, and evaluating learning outcomes.
Additionally, I served as an office assistant for the Kansas State University College of Agriculture’s Student and Staff Success Office, where I was responsible for co-coordinating a range of agricultural summer programs. These initiatives included the Project Impact MAPS program for incoming freshmen and the KSRE Summer Fellows Program for undergraduate students engaged in research.
