OVERVIEW
KSU in Leipzig is a six-week linguistic and cultural immersion course that includes intensive language instruction at InterDaF am Herder-Institut at the Universitat Leipzig, a one-week faculty-led tour of Berlin and Potsdam, and a one-week excursion program organized by InterDaF staff to sites such as Weimar, Wittenberg, and Dresden. Students will visit, experience, talk, and write about important German cultural and historic sites. Students are expected to attend pre-departure meetings in the Spring 2017 semester to prepare intellectually and in practical matters for the study abroad program. Upon return to K-State (Fall 2017), students will be asked to participate in advertising the program by sharing their experiences.

OVERVIEW Through reflection and interaction with the local Atenas, Costa Rica community, continue to develop intermediate Spanish language abilities-- speaking, listening, reading, writing, and culture—as well as critical thinking and creativity. Learn about and from the Atenas community while utilizing personal skills to assist in the attainment of community goals. Research, write, and revise individual papers incorporating appropriate secondary sources and observations made in Atenas. Represent our university and country positively through consistently respectful and responsible behavior. Enjoy a taste of pura vida! |
