Faculty and Staff Services

K-State employees can take advantage of the high-quality, convenient health care offered right near campus at Lafene Health Center.

Provider visits for faculty and staff primarily focus on the treatment and care of minor health conditions, pharmacy services, and laboratory services (based on your primary care provider's order). Furthermore, we are in-network for the State of Kansas Health Insurance.

K-State employees are entitled to use the following services:

  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available to all faculty and staff members.
  • Laboratory performs most tests ordered by your physician.
  • Pharmacy fills prescriptions from private physicians and provides over-the-counter medications and other products. The pharmacy even includes a convenient drive-thru.
  • Physical therapy is available and no referral is required. If you do have a referral, please bring it with you.
  • Travel health appointments are available to identify risks and provide necessary immunizations and medications for international travel.
  • Massage therapy can help with stress relief, reduced muscle pain, and a strengthened immune system.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide assessment, care, or treatment of injuries that have occurred at work or in any way relate to workers compensation. If you have a work related injury, please consult with your on-campus supervisor or Human Resources for next steps.

Lafene Health Center is NOT in-network for Medicaid or Medicare and will not file insurance claims to those entities. If you have Medicaid or Medicare as an insurance carrier, please contact your primary care provider about available healthcare options. Lafene Health Center is committed to working with our patients’ primary care providers to deliver exceptional continuity of care.
