Join the conversation: Growing our Mindset Diversity Forum

Submitted by Zelia Wiley

Lauren Brewer, K-State alumna and manager of research and development at General Mills, Inc., will present the 12th Growing our Mindset Diversity Forum on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The event will take place from 4:30-6 p.m. in Town Hall, 114 Staley School of Leadership, or via Zoom ID: 975 1489 8690.

All are welcome to attend this event. We hope you can join us as we close out Black History Month.

Brewer is a graduate of the K-State grain science department with a master's in grain science and a doctorate in cereal chemistry and was previously a K-State Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences, or MANRRS, officer. Brewer also serves as a member of the College of Agriculture Dean's Advisory Board. Brewer will lead a conversation about accelerating diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. Refreshments will be provided.

The student groups who will lead the event are K-State MANRRS, College of Agriculture Ambassadors and Ag Student Council in partnership with the College of Agriculture/KSRE Diversity Programs Office and the Dow Center for Multicultural and Community Studies. The event promises to be engaging and impactful, yet it can only be great with your participation.

Instructors, please note that we will be taking student attendance; if you require this information, contact Summer Santillana, Diversity Programs Office coordinator, at smades@k-state.edu.

If you require any additional information about the event, contact Zelia Wiley at zwiley@k-state.edu or 785-532-5793.
