Tanya González to present Division of Biology Seminar

Submitted by Division of Biology

Tanya González, interim associate provost for institutional effectiveness and professor of English at Kansas State University, will present "Challenge + Care = Inclusive Teaching" as part of the Division of Biology Seminar Series at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 6, in 221 Ackert Hall.

This session briefly addresses the current scholarship on inclusive teaching and presents some strategies and resources to embed into course structures to help all students engage more successfully in our challenging academic material. Many of these strategies will come from the fall 2022 Teaching and Learning Center Book Club selection, "Inclusive Teaching" by Kelly A. Hogan and Viji Sathy, and the 2023 selection, "The New College Classroom" by Cathy N. Davidson and Christina Katopodis.

If you would like to visit with González, please contact Tom Platt at tgplatt@k-state.edu
