Apply by Feb. 4 to receive course fees for summer and fall 2022 courses

Submitted by Cailin Riley

If you use no-cost educational resources in your course, you can apply to have the course textbook fee applied to your class. The fee is $10 paid by each student enrolled in the class. Ninety percent of the fee goes to your department, and the remaining 10% supports the Open/Alternative Textbook Initiative.

If you would like to have the course fee added to your summer or fall 2022 courses, submit your course data online by Feb. 4. Those who have received a course fee in the past must provide their course data by Feb. 4 as well for any summer or fall 2022 courses.

Please note that if you are unable to submit your data by the deadline, you will not be able to use the fee that semester.

Open/Alternative Textbook Initiative grant applications are due Friday, April 15. You can learn more about the initiative and apply for a grant by visiting its website.
