The Strategic Leader offered virtually on Oct. 28

Submitted by Human Capital Services - Learning and Development

The Strategic Leader will be offered from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, via Zoom.

In this session, participants will gain an understanding of their own leadership styles and have an introduction to the leadership styles of others. Participants will then explore strategies to increase engagement and motivate their colleagues. Participants will be introduced to how to speak to loss and manage change at the unit and organizational level.

The session will help participants:

  • Recognize the various leadership styles.
  • Discuss strategies to develop and motivate others.
  • Identify techniques to build an effective team and access appropriate resources.
  • Describe strategies for leading through change and turbulent times.

You must be a current supervisor — of university support staff or unclassified professionals — to attend this session. This session is offered in conjunction with the K-State Supervisory Foundations Pillar I: Establishing Your Supervisory Foundation certificate program, so seating is limited.

To register for this session, please complete the registration form.
