Applications for K-State Libraries Student Ambassadors due Sept. 2

Submitted by Cailin Riley

Know a student with a passion for libraries? Encourage them to apply for K-State Libraries Student Ambassadors.

All students — whether first-year undergrads or doctoral candidates — are welcome to apply to serve as advocates and representatives of K-State Libraries. These students play a key role in driving outreach and impacting Libraries' initiatives and services.

Since 2013, ambassadors have helped the Libraries host events, communicate with alumni and potential students and help guide discussions about the Libraries' future. Current ambassadors this year also will have the unique opportunity of exploring and promoting the new Hale Library. Ambassadors will play a key role in providing feedback on the new spaces and in sharing exciting developments with their peers.

Applications are due by Thursday, Sept. 2. Interviews will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 10. Ambassadors are also required to attend the annual retreat on Saturday, Sept. 25, and regular monthly meetings. More information is available on the ambassadors' website.
