Seeking new college graduates to serve as advisers with Kansas State College Advising Corps

Submitted by Meaghan Higgins

The Kansas State College Advising Corps, or KSCAC, is looking for candidates to serve as college advisers for the 2021-2022 school year. College advisers serve full time in select partner high schools, helping seniors understand the college and financial planning processes. As part of the College Advising Corps network, KSCAC aims to increase the number of first-generation, low-income and underrepresented students who enter and complete higher education.

College advisers complete up to a two-year service term and gain invaluable leadership, work and life skills that are necessary and transferable to any profession. Being an adviser is a transformative experience, contributing to a national movement to ensure all students have access to economic mobility and success.

KSCAC serves Kansas City, southwestern Kansas and Wichita.

Check out KSCAC's online portfolio with documents explaining the position, including eligibility, benefits and pay, our program and the application process. Applications are currently being accepted, with the first round of screening beginning on May 13. We'll continue to accept applications until all positions are filled. Questions or requests for more information may be directed to Meaghan Higgins at kscac@k-state.edu
