Gilman Scholarship events Jan. 30, Feb. 5 and Feb. 14

Are you a Pell Grant-eligible student interested in studying, interning, researching or serving abroad? If so, please consider attending one of these events in the coming weeks to learn about how you can apply for funding to go abroad through the Gilman Scholarship. Whether you have never considered going abroad before or if you have already started an application for the Gilman Scholarship, we have something for you. 

  • Jan. 30: Gilman Scholarship Info Session and Alumni Panel. Pell Grant-eligible students are invited to attend the Gilman Information Session and Alumni Panel at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, in 207 K-State Student Union. At this information session, students will be able to learn more about this scholarship opportunity from past scholarship recipients. 
  • Feb. 5: Gilman Scholarship Workshop. Pell Grant-eligible students are invited to attend the Gilman Workshop at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, in 206 K-State Student Union. During this workshop, students will learn more about the application process and get tips on how to make their application stand out. 
  • Feb. 14: Gilman Drop-In Advising. Pell Grant-eligible students applying for a Gilman Scholarship to go abroad for an upcoming term are invited to stop by the Education Abroad office in 304 Fairchild Hall between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 14. Eat some pizza and have your scholarship essays reviewed by an advisor.
