Become a member of K-State Social Club

Submitted by Perla E. Reyes

With the fall semester events already underway, the Kansas State University Social Club welcomes new members and welcomes back old members.

Over our 107-year history, much has changed, but the Social Club's primary purpose has remained the same: to provide members with opportunities to make new connections in the campus community. Sign up for an interest group, attend the next Thirsty Thursday, or join the club for its fall dinner, Oct. 2 where we will welcome K-State's new Provost and Executive Vice President Charles Taber.

The club's interest groups are the driving force of the K-State Social Club. These small groups usually meet monthly to enjoy various activities such as tasting fine wines, preparing and enjoying gourmet meals, or sharing hobbies or artistic talents. If you don't find a group that piques your interest, we welcome ideas for new groups!

New members: Your first year of membership in the Social Club is free. Please fill out the online membership form so we can get in touch with you.

Returning members: Fill out the online membership form and mail — or drop off — your payment to Diana McElwain, executive assistant, Human Capital Services, Kansas State University, 03 Edwards Hall, Manhattan, Kansas 66506-4801. Or download the PDF form, fill it out, and mail in your payment.

Membership in the K-State Social Club is open to any of the following and/or their spouses: Administrative officers, administrative assistants, faculty members of the rank of instructor or above, including visiting and Regents professors and postdoctoral fellows, commissioned officers in the military science and aerospace departments, director and assistant directors of athletics, coaches and assistant coaches, government personnel with equivalent faculty rank working in conjunction with the university, and former faculty members in the above named categories. Courtesy membership is extended to first-time members for one year and to house parents. Anyone in the groups listed above may join Social Club by payment of dues of $15 per individual or $25 per couple per year.
