Email Multiple Advisees

The KSU Advisor Center enables advisors to send an email to one or more advisees simultaneously. 

To send an email to one or more advisees:

  1. Login to KSIS with your eID and password at: https://ksis.k-state.edu.

  2. Select the KSU Advisor Center from the KSIS Links on the right side of the KSIS home page.

  3. The My Advisees list is displayed.

  4. Select the desired advisees from the My Advisees list by either clicking on the box next to the advisee's name, or by using the filters and groups function.

  5. Click Email Advisees in the Bulk operations area at the top of the screen.

  6. The Email Selected Advisees page appears with advisees pre-filled in the BCC (blind carbon copy) field.

  7. Compose the email with the following information as needed:  
    • Enter additional email addresses in CC (carbon-copy) or BCC (blind carbon-copy) as needed.
    • Separate multiple email addresses by a comma.
    • Edit the subject line as appropriate.
    • Add attachments as appropriate using the Attachment button.
      • Select Choose to locate the file.
      • Select Upload to attach the file.
      • Note: File types of bat, com, dll, exe, msi, pif, reg, scr, vbs, vbx, or files larger than 25MB are prohibited.
    • Edit the body of the email.
    • Spell check the email body by clicking the spell check icon (Click the Spell Check icon) on the right.  
  8. Click Send to send the email.

    Note: The send process groups advisees into batches of 90.  If sending an email to more than 90 advisees, the advisor will receive an email for each batch of 90.

  9. Click Return to Advisees to go back to the My Advisee list.
