Add or Remove Students in the Advisee List

The KSU Advisor Center enables advisors to add or remove students in their My Advisees list who are not officially assigned to them.

Add an advisee to My Advisees list:

Login to KSIS with your eID and password at https://ksis.k-state.edu.
Select the KSU Advisor Center from the KSIS Links on the right side of the KSIS home page.
The My Advisees list is displayed.
Click above the My Advisees list.
Enter the desired Search criteria in the Manage Additions screen. Advisors can search for advisees using the following criteria:
- Last name and/or First name - can find one or more advisees matching search criteria.
- Emplid - can find one or more advisees matching search criteria.
- WID - results in one exact match.
- eID - can find one or more advisees matching search criteria.
- Term and Class Nbr (both are required)
  - Select the magnifying glass next to the Term to choose a term.
  - Select the magnifying glass next to the Class Nbr to choose a class offered that term
Click Run to find advisees matching the criteria. If students match the criteria, a list of students will appear in the Possible Additions area.

If no advisees match the selection criteria, a pop-up window appears to indicate indicating no advisees are found.
Select the desired advisees from the Possible Additions area. Manually deselect or select students or click Deselect All or Select All to change the selection of advisees in the list.

Note: Advisees with multiple programs are listed once for each program . Advisors should select the entry the program(s) for which they advise students. Regardless of how many programs are listed, the All Advisee list only displays one instance of the advisee.
Click Clear Filter Results to erase the search results if the desired advisee is not found and perform steps 5 and 6 as needed to find the them. Then proceed to step 9 below.
Click Add to Advisee List to add the selected advisee(s) to your advisee list.
Click to return to the All Advisee list. Added advisees rows are highlighted in light blue.

Remove an Advisee from the My Advisees list:

Login to KSIS with your eID and password at https://ksis.k-state.edu.
Select the KSU Advisor Center from the KSIS Links on the right side of the KSIS home page.
The My Advisees list is displayed.
Click above the My Advisees list.
Scroll down to the Added Advisees list.
Manually deselect or select students or click Deselect All or Select All to change the selection on all advisees in the list.
Click to remove selected advisees.
Click to go back to the My Advisees list. The advisees that were removed in Manage Advisees are no longer displayed in the My Advisees list.
