SAS Licenses

K-State has a license program with the SAS Institute to provide the SAS Education Analytic Suite software at greatly reduced prices. The SAS application is available for Microsoft Windows only. No Mac version is available, nor is one expected in the future.

This license may be used for teaching and/or academic research and is available to departments, faculty/staff, and students. A current, valid K-State eID is required. Each license may be installed on up to 2 computers but cannot be used concurrently.

Application Versions

  • The current version is SAS 9.4, which works with all currently supported Windows operating systems.

Licensing Fees

The annual fee is $150 , covering the period from September 1 - August 31. The fee is pro-rated through the end of the current contract year.

Request a License

To request a license, submit a completed Software and Applications Distribution Form. Upon the receipt of the completed request form, an invoice will be emailed to the person designated on the request form. Payment is made to the Division of Information Technology. Within seven days of receipt of payment (KSU Interfund Voucher or KSU Foundation check), the licensee will receive an email with instructions to access this software.

Students may access SAS at no charge through the university computing labs and K-State InfoCommons or lease SAS with departmental approval and payment directly through their department business office.

Annual Renewal Cycle
