IT Non-Base Level Services

The Division of IT provides the following services at an additional cost in order to cover direct and indirect expenses incurred. To inquire about additional services offered by the Division of Information Technology please contact ITSBusiness@ksu.edu. The items listed below are considered out of scope for base level services, however, can be added to the overall service agreement if desired (additional charges will apply):

Computer and Desktop Support

Support of K-State-owned desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines

Server Administration

Support of on-premise or cloud based servers through designing, installing, administering, and optimizing servers and related component.

Unit Specific Applications

  • Cloud or Server Based - Support of departmental software not covered under the Base Level Service (BLS). Generally, these services include system administration and development.
  • Desktop Based - Install customer-specific software while ensuring the installation of these applications does not destabilize other desktop or applications functionality. This may include working with the department contact and vendor to gather requirements, define deliverables, build prototype, and deliver product to client. Additionally, management of updates, security bulletins, licenses, and payment collection may be required.

Unit Specific Devices

Support of specialty devices not covered under computer hardware and desktop support services. Provide basic training and technical support, as well as specification or standards for purchase of enterprise conforming devices.

Non-General Classroom, Conference Room, and Lab Support

Support for classroom and conference room audio/video technology, including podium, primary computer, and lab computer support. Additionally, the Division of IT can provide routine route checks of the audio/video technology and computers.

Activities included in the Schedule of Charges

General computer hardware and software support, repair, and troubleshooting for K-State owned equipment for departments without Service Level Agreements.
