Summer and Fall 2026 New International Student Orientations

As a new international student at Kansas State University you are required to participate in the New International Student Orientation hosted by the International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS). Our orientation for students who begin their programs in the fall and spring semesters has both virtual and in-person components. (Orientation for students who begin their program during the summer session is fully online.)

Virtual Orientation (all students):
After you have completed your ISSS Check-in survey, you will receive an email invitation to your K-State email for the ISSS orientation course in Canvas. Completing this course is mandatory; if you do not review the materials and complete the quiz, a hold will be placed on your KSIS account and you won’t be able to register for future classes.

In-person Orientation (fall and spring semester start dates):
You are required to participate in the Fall 2026 in-person Orientation starting on Monday, August 17th, 2026. We will have events scheduled for you throughout the week.

Communication

Additionally, as a new international student to K-State, you will be added to the ISSS listserv group (isc-l@ksu.edu). This way you will receive information messages from the ISSS office. We also post activities and programs on our social media pages—please be sure to “like” and “follow” our pages:
