DNA, RNA, or Protein Quantification
Qubit 2.0 Fluorometer

Absorbance measurements made on a spectrophotometer includes the absorbance of all molecules in the sample that absorb at the wavelength of interest. Since nucleotides, RNA, ssDNA, and dsDNA all absorb at the same wave length (260 nm), they will contribute to the total absorbance of the sample. We highly recommend using fluorometry for more accurate DNA quantification in your projects.

Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer
The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer is a microfluidics-based instrument designed for the analysis of DNA, RNA, and protein samples using nano- or picogram amounts of material. Agilent’s DNA assays allow users to automatically determine the size of restriction digest fragments, PCR and RT-PCR products, and NGS libraries. Because RNA is highly unstable, checking RNA integrity is an important step before performing any RNA-dependent application. Agilent’s RNA chip assays are useful tools for assessing RNA quality in Real-Time PCR and RNA-seq experiments. For RNA-seq experiments, we only accept RNA samples that have been analyzed using the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer. Only 1–3 µL of material is required per analysis.
