Graduate Student Appreciation Month

Initiated by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students, Graduate Student Appreciation Week is celebrated the first week of April each year. At K-State, we recognize graduate students throughout the month of April.

Below is a list of activities to recognize K-State's graduate students. Colleges, departments, or programs may have additional appreciation activities not listed here.

April 2
11:30am-1:00pm – The College of Arts and Sciences will host a pizza party at Union Station by JP’s in the K-State Student Union. One Arts and Sciences graduate student who attends will win a $500 prize for academic or conference costs.

4:30-6:30 pm – K-State Olathe will hold an appreciation dinner reception for all students in the Bistro at the K-State Olathe campus.

April 3
5:00-7:00 pm – The Graduate Student Council (GSC) will host bingo with pizza for graduate students. Register to attend.

April 9
12:00-1:00 pm – The Graduate School will host a Grad Coffee Chat with the Dean in 118 Eisenhower Hall and via Zoom. Coffee and ice cream will be provided. Register to attend.

April 16
9:00-10:00 am – APDesign Graduate Student Appreciation donuts with the Dean at Regnier Hall atrium.

April 17
9:30-11:00 am – College of Business Administration will host an appreciation breakfast for CBA graduate students in 2001 Business Building.

April 23
12:00-1:00 pm – College of Veterinary Medicine will host an appreciation lunch for CVM graduate students in the Mara Conference Room.

April 28
5:00-7:00 pm – President Linton’s Office, in collaboration with the Graduate School and Graduate Student Council, will host the Graduate Student and Faculty Recognition Celebration in the College of Business Atrium. All graduate students and graduate faculty are welcome to attend. The event will include recognition of graduate students who received awards and honors throughout the 2023-2024 academic year.
