|Director, Financial Reporting||
The Director of Financial Reporting manages all operations and activities of the Financial Reporting unit. This position is responsible for day-to-day supervision of operations, as well as the overall internal and external financial reporting. The Director’s responsibilities include performing diverse, specialized, and complex work involving significant accountability and decision-making, requiring an extensive professional background as well as skill in coordinating projects and staff responsibilities. This position is required to lead utilizing technology and industry tools and best practices to modernize policies and procedures regarding accounting and reporting activities for the University.
To ensure that university extramural funding is appropriately monitored and accounted for within the guidelines set forth by the federal government and other sponsors. The unit’s goal is to prevent audit findings and assist in establishing KSU as a leading research institution.
This position serves as the front-line office manager. This position is critical to the effectiveness of the office through access to student payments and cashiering services, and through interpretation of student financial data. This position analyzes the impact of tuition and fee assessment, payment options and penalties, and ensures consistent and accurate financial data and responses to customer service questions. This position also compiles and analyzes customer engagements (phone calls, emails, in person visits, etc) in order to improve overall customer service. Communication of numerous policies and procedures are critical, as well as developing relationships with all staff members throughout the office and campus, to ensure consistent and top tier customer service.
|Purchasing Agent II||
The Purchasing Agent II supports the day-to-day operations and tactical functions of the central purchasing office to support University departments on enterprise commodities and services such as Capital Construction, Information Technology, Professional Services, Supply Chain, or Higher Education University Research-related products.
|Fiscal Analyst I||
This position is responsible for post-award financial administration of sponsored research agreements, including monitoring costs for compliance with sponsor requirements and regulations, in addition to preparing reports for federal agencies and other sponsors. This position is also responsible for federally-required documentation and reporting of personnel costs and assists the Director with other internal and external reports as needed.
