About TRIO ESS

A program within Student Belonging and Inclusion, TRIO Educational Supportive Services (ESS) is a federally funded TRIO program which provides a comprehensive support community for students who are first generation, income-limited, and/or have a documented disability. ESS provides FREE services designed to help students achieve academic success and graduate with their bachelor's degree.

ESS is able to accept 300 students each year and offers a number of services that assist participants with persisting year-to-year, maintaining good GPA standing, and graduating on time.

The mission of TRIO ESS is to assist students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education because of income, family educational background, and disability towards completing a bachelor’s degree.

ESS is funded by a Federal TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) grant from the Department of Education with additional assistance from Kansas State University.
