Writing Center Awards
The Writing Center Excellence Award is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student staff member (tutor or front desk staff member) who displays all-around excellence in Center work. Criteria for selection include, but are not limited to:
- Front desk work and front desk supervision
- Tutoring (in-person and online)
- Ambassadorial work
- Contributions to the Outreach Team, Executive Committee, and/or staff training/meetings
- Mentoring of students and other staff members
The 2018 award will recognize excellence in Center work during the Spring 2017 or Fall 2017 semester. The recipient of the award will receive $100 and will be recognized at the English Department's annual awards banquet on May 5, 2018.
