Jessica Gnad serves as the director of economic development at Kansas State University and leads the development and implementation of a universitywide strategy for economic development. She connects and supports stakeholders across campuses, communities, government and educational sectors to advance strategic partnerships. She works in a universitywide capacity — with K-State Extension as a key partner — and connects people, ideas and institutions to K-State assets to drive community and economic development.

About Jennifer:

Jennifer Tidball is the communications director for economic development at Kansas State University. She works with multiple university units to connect key partners, develop communications strategy and tell stories of economic development success. Tidball joined K-State in 2010 and has experience in multiple aspects of university communications, including writing, editing, strategic planning, public and media relations, project management and marketing. She served as editor-in-chief of Seek magazine, K-State’s award-winning research magazine, for five years.

About Eli:

Eli Kunz is an economic development Intern at Kansas State University, supporting projects related to community and economic development, data analysis and strategic engagement initiatives. Working alongside university and regional partners, he assists with research, data compilation and project support tied to workforce, entrepreneurship and regional economic trends.

Kunz is a sophomore at the University of Mississippi, studying marketing and international studies with a minor in Russian through the Croft Institute. He is also a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. Through his work at both the University of Mississippi and Kansas State University, he is focused on exploring new opportunities that strengthen communities, support industry partnerships and advance economic growth.
