What do you want people to know about your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that every child is capable, creative, curious, and deserving of respect. I believe children learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences that allow them to explore, ask questions, collaborate, and express their ideas in different ways. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, I strive to create an environment where children’s interests guide learning and where their thoughts, creativity, and individuality are valued.

I especially enjoy working with preschool and kindergarten-aged children because of their imagination, humor, curiosity, and growing independence. Above all, I believe in treating every child with the same kindness, patience, respect, and dignity that I would want to receive myself. My goal is to create a classroom where children feel safe, valued, confident, and excited to learn.

Why do you find the work you do important?
I find my work important because the early years are such an important part of a child’s development. As a teacher, I have the opportunity to help children build confidence, independence, creativity, and a love for learning. I want my classroom to be a place where every child feels safe, respected, valued, and free to be themselves. Knowing that the experiences and relationships I create can have a positive and lasting impact on a child’s life makes my work meaningful to me.
