Student Employment Pathways
Your Campus Job is Building Your Career
The Student Employment Pathways Program helps Manhattan on-campus student employees identify, reflect on, and confidently communicate the transferable skills they develop every day at their on-campus work.
About the Program
More Than a Job — It's Professional Development
Many student employees underestimate the value of their campus work experience. The Student Employment Pathways Program bridges the gap between daily responsibilities and future career success.
Through weekly reflections, tracking skills, and professional development exercises, participants complete the program with a skills report, refined resume writing, and the confidence to communicate their on-campus experience in interviews and job applications.
The program is operated on a Canvas "course". It does not offer academic credit for students, however, it is of no cost to the student, the supervisor or the department.
How the Program Helps You Succeed
The Pathways Program gives you the tools to turn everyday campus work into career credentials for your future careers.
- Resume Transformation
- Skill Awareness
- Weekly Skill/Work Reflection

The deadline to enroll your student(s) for Fall 2026 is Thursday, September 3rd at 5:00pm. The timeline of the program runs September 8 -December 13. There will be no activities the week of November 23rd and December 7th. This is a 12 week program.
