Third-Party Recruiting Policy

Definition

For the purposes of this policy, third-party recruiters are defined as agencies, organizations, or individuals recruiting candidates for temporary, part-time or full-time employment opportunities other than for their own agency needs. This definition includes, but is not limited to, employment agencies, search firms, contract recruiters, and resume referral firms.

Kansas State University has established the following policy for Third Party Recruiters

  • Third-party recruiters may post positions in their online Handshake account following the Third Party Recruiter Guidelines included in Handshake Terms of Service.
  • Third-party recruiters may participate in on campus interviews provided the name of the client is disclosed to the Career Center and prospective candidates.
  • Third-party recruiter’s attendance at K-State Career Fairs will be limited, and determined on a first-come-first-served basis. Those allowed to participate should represent employers who have authorized them to recruit for specific positions. The name of the employer being represented should be clearly identified on all announcements and displays.
  • Third-party recruiters will not be allowed access to our online resume books. Searches may be conducted for third-party recruiters if the job description and name of the client are disclosed to the Career Center.

Conditions

Third Party Recruiters must adhere to all NACE principles, specifically those stated in the Principles for Ethical Professional Practice.

The Career Center reserves the right to verify any client information provided by a Third-Party Recruiter.
