Attend the 2023 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Awards

April 10, 2023 - The Career Center is excited to invite the campus community to join us in honoring this years’ outstanding student employees. The 2023 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Awards Ceremony will recognize nominees, along with special recognition of our five finalists. The five finalists being recognized are Anika Roy, Avery Wischropp, Gavin Beesley, Hieu Nguyen and Tyler Spencer.

Attend Big 12 Virtual Career Fair

March 21, 2023 - We are excited for K-State students and alumni to participate in the Big 12 Virtual Career Fair again. Facilitated via the CareerEco platform, the over 140 registered employers represent a wide range of industries and opportunities. Register in advance and review more details about the participating employers or virtually drop by the day of the event any time between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central on Wednesday, March 22.

Students are invited to the Business Career Fair

March 8, 2023 - This year’s business career fair will be hosted at the K-State Student Union Ballroom. Employers will connect with students from 12-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2023. We encourage any student who is interested in the business industry to attend. Students are also encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume, dress professionally, and research companies of interest.

Students invited to EDCAT Interviews

March 6, 2023- We are excited to offer an opportunity for Kansas School Districts to join us for in-person EDCAT interviews, 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, in the Kansas State University Alumni Center Ballroom. The second part of interviews will be virtual, 2:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, on the CareerEco website. Students from all majors are encouraged to learn about job opportunities in various school districts.

Students are invited to the Media and Communications Career Meet-Up

Feb. 29, 2023 - The Career Center invites students to attend the Media and Communications Career Meet-Up from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2. This in-person event will take place at the Berney Family Welcome Center. Students aren’t required to register before the event and all majors are welcome. Students can find more details about the event in Handshake and view the list of employers who will attend.

Feb. 23, 2023 - The Career Center invites students from all majors to attend the 2023 Design Expo from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24. This in-person event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn and Convention Center Ballroom. When students arrive, they will check-in at the student registration table. We encourage students to review the event details in Handshake to see which employers will be attending.

Hospitality Career Meet-Up

Feb. 23, 2023- The Career Center invites students to attend the Hospitality Career Meet-Up from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23. This event will take place at the Berney Family Welcome Center. There is no registration needed for students and all majors are welcome. Students can visit the Career Center before the event to edit their resume and obtain free business professional clothing from the Career Closet.

Engineering Career Fair

Feb. 13, 2023 - This year's Engineering Career Fair will be held from 12-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14 and Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the Engineering Complex. The two day career fair will host a record number of 150 engineering companies looking for co-op, interns, and full-time employees.

Jan. 25, 2023 - Kansas State University students are excelling in employment and continuing education after graduation. According to the latest post-graduation report from Kansas State University for graduates in the 2021-2022 school year, 97% are employed or furthering their education.

Jan. 20, 2023 - K-State’s online career services platform, known as Handshake, is all about making those virtual introductions, connecting students and alumni looking for jobs with employers who are ready to hire them.
