Nominations Open for 2021 Student Employee of the Year Celebration
Jan. 15, 2021 — Supervisors are now able to nominate student employees for recognition of outstanding work.
Fall Drop-In Advising Ends Thursday, Nov. 19
Nov. 17, 2020 — The Career Center will wrap up drop-in advising this week but invites students to seek support by scheduling an appointment.
Students Are Invited to Attend the Virtual Health Career Meet-Up
Oct. 19, 2020 — The Career Center invites students to attend the virtual Health Career Meet-Up from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. This free networking event is intended to bring employers and students together to facilitate connections in the health, fitness and wellness fields.
The Career Center is Teaming Up with oSTEM for a Clothing Drive
Sept. 28, 2020 — The Career Center is teaming up with Out in Stem (oSTEM) to host a fall “It’s Time to Clean Out Your Closet!” clothing drive for the Career Closet. The clothing drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Union courtyard.

Career Center Will Host the All-University Career Fair Online
Sept. 10, 2020 — The Career Center invites students to participate in the annual All-University Career Fair. Students will need to register for the fair and sign up for sessions to engage with employers. The career fair will take place online via Handshake from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, to Thursday, Sept. 24.
Part-Time Opportunities Fair to be held Aug. 20
Aug. 11, 2020 — The Career Center will host it's first online Part-Time Opportunities Fair from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, via Handshake. This is a great way for employers, students and staff to become familiar with the platform prior to the bigger All-University Career Fair in September.
Career Center to Host Carry Out Event
Aug. 10, 2020 — The Career Center Carry Out will be hosted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, in the north entrance of the Berney Family Welcome Center.
Winner Announced: Student Employee of the Year
April 14, 2020 — The K-State Career Center wishes to congratulate Katie Buhler, student coordinator for the Staley School of Leadership Studies, on her selection as winner of the Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Award.
Award Ceremony to be Held Via Zoom Meeting
March 31, 2020 — The 2020 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Award Ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. April 8 via Zoom, with university administrators and campus leaders present to congratulate nominees.

Feb. 21, 2020 — Students interested in advertising, journalism and public relations are invited to attend the Media and Communications Career Meet-Up from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Berney Family Welcome Center.
Employment, Continuing Education Rates Continue to Climb
Feb. 20, 2020 — Data collected by the Career Center shows this year's bachelor's degree graduates set another placement record, with 97% securing employment or furthering their education within six months of graduation.
Upcoming Career Events for Education Majors
Feb. 19, 2020 — On March 2, future educators can take advantage of two upcoming events at which they can speak with potential employers: the annual Education On-Campus Interviews and the Educate Kansas Virtual Career Fair.
Exclusive Event for Discount Professional Attire for Students
Jan. 29, 2020 — The Career Center and JCPenney are partnering to bring K-State students an exclusive event to purchase select discounted professional attire for an additional 30 percent off. This event will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, in the JCPenney store at Manhattan Town Center.
Attend the Agri-Industry Career Fair
Jan. 22, 2020 — Students from all majors are invited to attend the Agri-Industry Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, in the K-State Student Union Ballroom. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit with a wide range of agricultural-related organizations looking for interns, co-op and full-time employees.
Big 12 Virtual Career Fair to be held March 25
Jan. 14, 2020 — K-State students and alumni can soon attend a career fair from the comfort of their own homes through the Big 12 Virtual Career Fair. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, current and former Wildcats are invited to connect with employers interested in finding talent from all majors.
Attend the 2020 Design Expo Career Fair
Jan. 13, 2020 — Students are invited to attend the 2020 Design Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Hilton Garden Inn and Convention Center in Manhattan.

Oct. 28, 2019 — Students interested in opportunities in the wildlife and natural resources fields are invited to attend the Wildlife and Natural Resources Career Meet-Up from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Berney Family Welcome Center Great Room.
2020 Engineering Career Fair to be held Feb. 11-12
Oct. 15, 2019 — Students interested in opportunities in any engineering field are invited to attend the 2020 Engineering Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, and Wednesday, Feb. 12, in the Engineering Complex.
Career Center to host Late Night Resume Madness
Aug. 15, 2019 — The Career Center will host its annual Late Night Resume Madness event from 7-10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at the the Berney Family Welcome Center. Students are invited to attend and have their resumes critiqued in preparation for the All-University Career Fair.
Po-Yu “Tony” Lai named 2019 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year
April 10, 2019 — Kansas State University student employees, supervisors, family and friends gathered April 10 to recognize more than 40 K-Staters who were nominated for the Student Employee of the Year award. Po-Yu “Tony” Lai, student worker for the Department of Animal Sciences and Industry, was named the 2019 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year.
Big 12 Virtual Career Fair to be held March 27
March 18, 2019 — K-State students and alumni interested in finding jobs and internships are invited to connect with over 80 employers from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, through the Big 12 Virtual Career Fair.
Attend the Social Services Career Meet-Up
Feb. 22, 2019 — Students interested in learning about careers in family services, social work, corrections and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to attend the Social Services Career Meet-Up from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28.
Media and Communications Career Meet-Up Open to All Students
Feb. 11, 2019 — Students interested in advertising, journalism and public relations are invited to attend the Media and Communications Career Meet-Up from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Berney Family Welcome Center Great Room.
Experience the Design Expo
Feb. 11, 2019 — The 2019 Design Expo will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, March 1, in the Hilton Garden Inn and Convention Center in Manhattan. Students can visit with firms looking for interns and full-time employees from the following academic programs: Architecture, Graphic Design, Interior Architecture and Product Design, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Regional and Community Planning.

Feb. 6, 2019 — The K-State Career Center will host the Hospitality Career Meet-Up on Tuesday, Feb. 19. All students are welcome to meet with employers in food and beverage, meeting and event, and lodging management fields to learn about part-time, internship and full-time positions.
Agri-Industry Career Fair Open to Students of All Majors
Jan. 21, 2019 — Students are invited to attend the Agri-Industry Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, on the second floor of the K-State Student Union.
