K-State Bands offer a range of educational festivals and clinics throughout the year, providing high school musicians with opportunities to perform, learn, and enhance their skills. These events focus on performance, instruction, and collaboration, allowing students to engage with expert clinicians and refine their musical abilities.

All Star Marching Band

Top high school musicians are invited to join the K-State Marching Band for a game day performance at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. It’s a fun and exciting opportunity to experience college band life firsthand. This exciting event features over 150 of our state’s best and brightest high school musicians. These All Stars perform halftime favorites with music and drill independently and alongside the Pride of Wildcat Land - The KSUMB.

Central States Marching Festival

The K-State Bands' Central States Marching Festival is recognized as the leading marching band festival in Kansas and the surrounding areas. High school bands have the opportunity to perform at Bill Snyder Family Stadium and receive valuable feedback from expert adjudicators. The event features educational clinics led by K-State band staff and includes a finale performance by the K-State Marching Band. We appreciate the support of the Athletic Department for providing a climate-controlled facility, ensuring a smooth experience for all participants despite weather conditions.

Concert Band Clinic

The K-State Concert Band Clinic has grown to attract over 600 students from the Midwest, offering an educational and musical experience with renowned guest clinicians. Taking place on the K-State campus in Manhattan, participants can explore the area while enjoying the university's vibrant atmosphere. This three-day event includes six large ensembles, percussion groups, sectional rehearsals, and master classes led by K-State School of Music faculty. The clinic culminates in a public performance at McCain Auditorium, showcasing the students' development and talents.
