Concert Band Clinic

January 23rd - 25th, 2026

A dynamic three-day event designed for high school band students who are passionate about music and eager to grow. Held on the scenic Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, Kansas, the clinic provides an immersive experience where students rehearse and perform in full concert ensembles under the direction of outstanding guest conductors and K-State faculty.

Throughout the weekend, participants engage in focused rehearsals, sectionals, and skill-building sessions that challenge and inspire. In addition to refining their musicianship, students have the opportunity to connect with peers from across the region who share their enthusiasm for music.

The clinic concludes with a public concert showcasing the hard work and talent of all participants. Whether you're preparing for college auditions, looking to improve your ensemble skills, or simply excited to make music in a supportive and energizing environment, the K-State Concert Band Clinic offers an unforgettable musical experience.

Event Information

Nominations

High school band directors are invited to nominate students to participate in the K-State Concert Band Clinic. Nominations should be based on musical ability, leadership, and a student's commitment to their school band program.

Directors will complete an online nomination form for each student, including details such as instrument, years of experience, and chair placement. Students will be placed in one of several concert bands based on director input and available instrumentation.

Once nominations are submitted, selected students will receive confirmation and additional event details. Please note that space is limited, and early nominations are encouraged.

Nomination Deadline: Nominations for students will be accepted until Friday, November 7th, 2025. The cost per student will be $50.00. Please do not submit payment until after you are notified that your students have been accepted.

To submit multiple nominations online, don't forget to complete the survey to the confirmation message, close your browser, and open a new window for each student nomination. Do not hit the 'back' button in your browser to access a new survey. Directors, parents and students will be notified mid-November of student acceptance.

This will be an amazing, educational event. Your students are sure to have a satisfying musical experience with some amazing clinicians and conductors.
