Dr. Thomas Conry (team chair)
- Professor, Department of General Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC); also an affiliate of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
- Joined UIUC faculty in 1971, coming from General Motors Corp.

He is a registered professional engineer in Illinois and Wisconsin and a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Xi and ASME. Conry was chairman of the ASME Design Engineering Division in 1979-80. He was a member of the ASME Board on Communications and chair of the Publications Committee and was Technical Editor of the ASME Journal of Vibrations, Acoustics, Stress and Reliability in Design 1984-1989.
