University Archives

The Morse Department of Special Collections is home to the university archives, which is responsible for preserving and making available documentation of the history of Kansas State University, including institutional records, student organizations, student life and culture, faculty contributions, and other affiliated organizations.

We preserve K-State records with significant historical, legal, administrative, or fiscal value. We also collect records and papers of student groups, affiliated organizations, and faculty that document K-State's organizational, intellectual, and social history.

Records Management

The records management section includes information on best practices, how to create new schedules or transfer of records to the University Archives, related laws and statutes, records retention, as well as other training information. Find information about the Records and Information Management Committee that oversees policies related to the preservation and disposition of University records.
